Workstatement

The longing for a father figure has been a recurring theme in history. For centuries we look for father figures in our personal lives, in religion and not least in politics. The unframed paintings give a glimpse of the uniform, which symbolize the concept of authority. The grey colors in the paintings seem to refer to history and /or memories. What seems to be a cartoonish handwriting is marked with emotion and a questioning sense of these authoritarian father figures.
